How I use myUSBdrive

Every myUSBdrive home is different. Mine streams films to a tent halfway up a hill. I'd love to hear about yours, in your own words.

The stories so far

Every story here is from a real person, shared with their permission, first name only. I'll start with mine.

Three myUSBdrives · Hertfordshire

"I built myUSBdrive, and I still use it most days. I ended up with three at home: movies, TV shows, photos and family files on one, another as an automatic mirror of my main one, and an archive of my hiking videos on the third. On a long trek I can stream my own films to my phone from a campsite after a walk, ideally within easy reach of a hot shower and a pub."

Five myUSBdrives

My friend Tim somehow has five. For a long time he used one of them as a manual backup, plugging in a second drive and copying everything across by hand. Watching him do that is exactly why automatic drive mirroring is now built in, so nobody has to do it his way again.

Movie nights, family photo archives, music in the garage. However you use it, I'd love to hear it, and someone else will find it useful.

I'm always happy to hear feature requests and ideas. Some of the best parts of myUSBdrive started that way.
